ROADTRIP 2003....
Began on Saturday Morning with a stop in Springfield where we were served Tea & Cookies by Grandmother. Over the Bridge to Nowhere and on thru Nebraska...Colorado or Bust. We arrived early at my Sisters Home in Denver and made ourselves comfortable thanks to her great hospitality.

Sunday we did up all the Downtown Denver Activities and then Red Rocks in the Rain was our first of the Mountain Cruises to end the Day.

Monday morning brought us another exciting Cruise - to the Top of MtEvens compliments of my Sister's heavy foot and sure hand at the the wheel. Monday Evening we all headed off to the Biggest Concert Event of the Year - The Steely Dan Show at Fiddlers Green. WOW...sums it up best, words just can't do it.

Tue was spent relaxing and enjoying the Metro Area, Shopping and Dining also topped the list of activities.

Wednesday Morning we packed up and headed South to Colorado Springs, after checking in at the hotel, we headed straight > up > to the Summit of Pikes Peak. The Ultimate Cruising Road in America was not a disapointment - what a ride, what a view, we made it!! After our journey to the Top of the World we checked out the Seven Falls, a nice end to another Great Day.

Thursday we went to see the Manitou Cliff Dewellings and then in the afternoon we met up with a few early arrival PT's in Manitou Springs, for a PreCruise Picnic. Meeting some of the other Cruisers was a great time and by Friday Morning we felt like we already knew everyone.

The Friday Show & Shine in the parking lot of the hotel was a great time to check out all the Cool PT's. An afternoon cruise to the the Garden of the Gods was the BEST, with a rain storm moving in, the crowds moved out and we experienced the awesome rainstorm under the shelter of a pine tree. After the rain had passed we had the whole park to ourselves (one exception a very vocal Scrub Jay!)
Friday night the parking lot was lit up with a Glow Show, some of the Cruisers showing off their strobe lights, neon, and sound systems amazing the guests.

Saturday was the Big Cruise to Cripple Creek, 145 Cruisers from 22 States could hardly wait. Escorted by the Colorado Springs Police Dept shutting down 7 miles of Interstate 25, we cruised on to Woodland Park being met by their Police Dept for an escort thru town. Next stop was Cripple Creek, where the entire town was blocked off for PT Parking, another chance to show off this great group of Cruisers. We shopped the Art Fair and checked out the Casinos before continuing with a smaller casual group to complete the entire Loop Cruise. Saturday night there were remote control PT races in the parking lot followed by a Banquet Dinner and a 50's dance.

Sunday morning it was time to check-out, after another great breakfast and many good-byes, we headed East into the FlatLands of Home.
